Andrew Hendel

I hold BS and MS degrees from the Stanford University School of Engineering, where I was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi.

I spent fourteen years in financial services: investment banking at Morgan Stanley, private equity at Oak Hill Capital, and ten years at Beach Point Capital Management as a Managing Director, where I managed over $1B in assets in distressed debt.

I then spent six years founding and building companies across fintech and social media, including Franklin AI, where I led development of the native mobile app, web app, backend services, and cloud infrastructure.

I also write mojolearn, a self-funded open-source GPU machine learning library. One source builds for Apple, NVIDIA, and AMD GPUs, with an opt-in mode in which supported training and inference return bit for bit identical results on all three vendors.
